Across our nation, there are 800,00 children who experience foster care. More than one third never go home and are never adopted. Instead, they often languish in foster care until they turn eighteen and "age out." The result is that they are emancipated from the foster care system unprepared to take their place in society. A staggering percentage will spend the rest of their lives in homeless shelters, prisons and mental health facilities.

Treehouse is prepared to change this debilitating and costly pattern at the beginning of a child’s foster care experience. By stopping a child’s bounce through the foster care system, Treehouse offers systemic change: positive outcomes for the children and taxpayer savings of millions of dollars in end-game costs. more..
